Watch oot! Bogles aboot! You are invited to join Alchemy Film & Arts in Heart of Hawick and Wilton Lodge Park for a new play and film exhibition that places Hawick at the centre of a fictional inter-dimensional crisis.
Featuring newly digitised archive film clips of Hawick between 1960 and 1980, The Big Border Bogle Hunt is written by Alchemy artist in residence Jules Horne, and formulates new ways of engaging with auld footage of our town.
After the theatre performance in Heart of Hawick, ticket-holders are invited to join Jules and the Alchemy team for the launch of a new phone-based film exhibition in Wilton Lodge Park, accessing archive film footage of Hawick via their own smartphones.

Tickets: Tickets to this one-off event are priced £6 / £8 / £10 on a ‘pay what you can afford‘ basis. Advance booking is essential.

ABOUT JULES HORNE
Jules Horne is a writer, musician and filmmaker from Hawick. She writes scripts for stage and radio, and combines live performance with spoken word, film and looping to explore Borders Scots language, place and new stories.
Jules began a year-long residency with Alchemy Film & Arts in November 2022, focusing on how community film archives of Hawick can be playfully reactivated through creative experiments with augmented reality, interactivity, and communal participation.
Jules’s residency is part of The Teviot, the Flag and the Rich, Rich Soil, Alchemy’s programme of artist residencies and community engagement exploring the borders, boundaries and lines of Hawick and the Scottish Borders.
