Join us for an opening preview of this year’s moving-image exhibitions.

This is an informal way to get your lay of the land. If brief introductions are your thing, you can congregate in the Civic Space between Heart of Hawick and Heritage Hub at 5pm. Otherwise, rock up at your leisure to any of our partner venues, all of which are within visible distance of each other, and spend your time as you desire: roam, ruminate, run! 

Whether you’re an Alchemy regular or first-timer, you’ll be most welcome. Joining us for the occasion is The Haggis Box, who’ll be offering a wee, fuss-free flavour of Scotland’s national dish to festival attendees and passers-by alike – veggie/vegan and gluten-free options included. 

Following this preview, exhibitions are open daily, 10am to 5pm, Friday 1 to Sunday 3 May.

A Q&A with this year’s exhibitions artists will take place in the Heart of Hawick cinema auditorium at 9am on Sunday 3 May.
