OUTWITH

Outwith was a year-long programme of filmmaking workshops and events for Borders-based young people delivered by Alchemy Film & Arts throughout 2021.

Through a programme of workshops, events and supported mentorship, Outwith gave participants opportunities to learn valuable and transferable filmmaking skills, work together on creative collaborative projects, and access year-round platforms and resources.

Partners included Queer Borders Film Festival, Borders Additional Needs Group and Borders College. Over 25 films were created throughout the programme, many of which were premiered and celebrated at Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival 2022.

This project is part of Film Town, Alchemy Film & Arts’s community-engaged creative learning programme.
