On 1 May 2021, Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa was invited to close the May Day programme of Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival 2021 with a commissioned talk on the work and body of research that culminated in her film Promised Lands. She was then joined by Alchemy Director Rachael Disbury for a Sitdown, discussing her work more broadly and the political implications of representational practices.
