RICH, RICH SOIL
Throughout summer 2022 Alchemy Film & Arts’ programme, Rich, Rich Soil, focuses on cultures of growing, eating and food production. This programme manifests as a series of creative activities, provocations and events working with existing community gardens in Hawick, growers and chefs throughout the Scottish Borders, local communities and infrastructure across the region.

TEA TIME NETWORK
Tea Time is a series of four community meals taking place at Burnfoot Community Hub this summer. Each of the four meals will be run in a ‘supper club’ style and will be offered for free to Burnfoot residents, and cooked by invited chefs.

We are offering six places to local chefs and cooks to take part in these events, forming a core network for knowledge exchange around recipes, cooking methods and plant-based cooking. These six individuals will be invited to each of the four sessions, will receive a stipend for participation, and will have access to other forms of support through involvement in the network.

Tea Time events will take place at Burnfoot Community Hub, 4pm – 7pm on:

  • Wednesday 25 May
  • Wednesday 22 June
  • Wednesday 27 July
  • Wednesday 31 August

To get involved in the network, please submit an expression of interest by Tuesday 17 May, stating why you’d like to be involved and how it might be of benefit to you, by emailing luna@alchemyfilmandarts.org.uk
