Mandy McIntosh

Mandy McIntosh is an artist from Glasgow, brought up in Springburn in the northeast of the city where she has now also worked and conducted research over the last decade. Her work is notably interdisciplinary and usually located among people who live in housing schemes and peripheral places. Sitting beyond notions of inclusion and social practice her work tends towards more long-termist and counter-cultural assemblages made with people she works with over time.

Recent works include Keys to Our Social Centre (2026), a public realm collaborative bronze sculpture contesting the sale of Springburn’s old Carnegie Library. In 2026 she also completed BROON FLOORZ, an improvised cinematic drama for a film made with Ferguslie Park Seniors on the subject of funeral poverty. Mandy completed her PhD at Glasgow School of Art in 2025.
