Borders Arts Trust
Project Manager
The aim of Borders Arts Trust is to devise and run contemporary arts projects and events in the Scottish Borders. The two core events in the coming year are the Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival in Hawick (now in its third year) and a new scheme to exhibit contemporary visual art in empty shops in town centres.
The Project Manager will have responsibility for working to the Creative Director of Alchemy and the trustees to administer and deliver these projects, as well as to implement the strategic development goals of the Trust. This involves not only close collaboration with artists and film-makers, and with stakeholders including Scottish Borders Council, Creative Scotland and other funders, but also setting up and running an ambitious volunteer scheme to help with the core projects.
The Project Manager’s role provides an exciting opportunity to help raise the profile of the Trust’s activities at a crucial period of expansion and to develop audiences within the local communities and beyond.
Experience of a similar role in the sphere of the arts is essential. Based in the Scottish Borders.
