Using film as a way to come together, have conversations and strengthen community.
NO WORDS
No Words is a short film made by young people in the Scottish Borders to explore and articulate the pluralities of queer existence. Produced as part of Outwith, Alchemy’s year-long programme of filmmaking workshops, skills development and creative collaboration and mentorship, No Words was presented in Hawick in July 2022 as part of a double-bill with The Making of Pinocchio (2021), Rosana Cade and Ivor MacAskill‘s autobiographical exploration of Ivor’s gender transition.
The screening was followed by a Q&A and live podcast recording with the makers of both No Words and The Making of Pinocchio, as part of TLC (aka Tender Loving Care for Trans-Led / Trans-Loved Cinema).
The podcast can be listened to here.
