1. What’s your idea of perfect happiness?:
Spending time with the right people.
2. What drives you to make films?:
Signs that say ‘Keep Out’ or ‘No Entry’
3. Where in the world would you most like to be right now?:
New Mexico, Albuquerque or lost somewhere quiet and beautiful.
4. When inspiration is waning, and you feel creatively sapped, what do you do to stay motivated?:
Connect with another creative person, take a step back, take a walk or a hot bath.
5. What films are the most inspiring or influential to you at the moment, and why?:
Dougal and the Blue Cat, The Wicker Man, the work of Andrew Kotting and Robert Todd. I’m also thinking a lot about the artist filmmakers Webb-Ellis who had an installation at Alchemy 2017. I keep a link to the David Hall film Vertical on my desktop – I wish I could capture the landscape like he does on this work.

7. What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?:
Play a gig with my band.
8. What’s your greatest extravagance?:
Wine that doesn’t come from bottom shelf.
9. What turns you on – creatively, spiritually or emotionally?:
I’m a member of the Moving Image Makers Collective – they are the most creative people I know.
